As Türkiye’s first and only international solar energy and storage technologies fair—and one of the top three in the world—SolarEX Istanbul welcomed global solar brands as it opened its doors for the 17th time! Officially inaugurated on April 10, SolarEX Istanbul will host international visitors at the Istanbul Expo Center from April 10–12, between 09:00–18:00.

The much-anticipated SolarEX Istanbul, set to shape the future of the solar and storage sectors, kicked off its 17th edition with high energy and great excitement. Taking place across Halls 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 of the Istanbul Expo Center, this year’s most prestigious event brought together nearly 400 companies and thousands of qualified visitors to share the latest innovations and forward-looking strategies in the sector. Opening its doors to an enthusiastic crowd, SolarEX Istanbul attracted immense interest from both domestic and international participants.

Opening Ceremony Led by Distinguished Guests — 3 Days of Solar Innovation Ahead!

The event began with an opening speech by Project Manager Yasemin Terle. Among the distinguished guests at the ceremony were Istanbul Deputy Governor Cengiz Karabulut, TEDAŞ General Manager Ömer Sami Yapıcı, and presidents of leading renewable energy associations: ENSİA, GENSED, GÜNDER, GÜNEŞDER, and Solar 3GW.

The keynote message echoed throughout the opening remarks: SolarEX is not just an exhibition—it is a strategic meeting point shaping the future of the industry. The transformation in renewable energy, battery technologies, smart grids, and energy efficiency has become more visible and accessible thanks to SolarEX Istanbul.

Conference Program Grabs Attention on Day One!

Running parallel to the fair, the live-streamed conference sessions held across three halls with simultaneous interpretation received high praise from participants for their rich content and professional delivery. In addition to sharing vital knowledge, the sessions paved the way for strong business connections across the sector.

Topics such as YEKDEM-supported unlicensed solar plants, Agri-PV in Türkiye, residential PV systems, EV charging networks, local government energy visions, solar investment strategies, regulatory frameworks, environmental impact of batteries, income models, and storage solutions were explored in depth by industry experts.

The highly attended sessions and company seminars will continue at full pace on the second day of the fair.

ÇATIGES Competition Sparks Excitement!

Making its debut in this year’s program and sponsored by ISOTEC, the ÇATIGES competition drew great attention from both participants and visitors. Competing firms showcased their speed, accuracy, and technical capabilities in rooftop panel installation, while the audience witnessed real-time performance in a high-energy setting. The competition will continue on day two with new teams and will culminate in a final showdown on the last day of the fair.
